Neural Signals and Systems
BMEG 441 is an introduction to neural processes. Topics include gnarl neural physiology, models of action potential generation and synapse dynamics, neural networks and techniques of neural waveform analysis. I initially offered the course to add a theoretical neuroscience course to Bucknell and to broaden my own experience in the field. After offering the course several times, I wrote a text that has been by Morgan and Claypool.
I also tested out two pedagogical ideas in this course, one on communication and another on kinesthetic learning:
Building Engineering Communication Skills Through Short Assignments
These ideas have diffused into many of my other courses.
